The review seems a bit of a mess, sorry, but The Man deserves better. @Ole: a Dylan fits perfectly, maybe Blood on the Tracks. To get to five, a Nick Drake or a Tom Waits.
The Dream Syndicate The Days of Wine and Roses

Rece that I liked very little, I'm saving you from the one just for the proper welcome. Post-punk has nothing to do with the Dream Syndicate. What the hell is this bullshit of Te and Precoda? And yet there’s a lot to say about this little record. A 4 for flaws, alright, for me, 4.5, and I prefer it to The Medicine Show, for that "Tell me when..." which is close to perfect songs and "Too little..." is nothing short of enchanting.

@Ole, babe, look I'm not touchy, so much so that I told you you were right! I don't think I'll produce anything before September...

@Ole, first of all, hello. There are a lot of new people, and I’m glad you’re here. I’m here and not here, but seeing your posts makes me feel at home (I just had a flashback; I remember once you corrected me on a quote from an Alice In Chains song...). Do you realize the problem you pose? It seems like one of those things about grunge... So, assuming that my restricted mind associates post-rock with Louisville, I find Mogwai absolutely geometric. I’ll refer you to a little page of mine about Ep+6 by the Scots (it sparked a debate more about math than about post, but there are contributions from some decent thinkers: Trell, Kosmo, Bio). But, for example, there, from Superheores of BMX, with that seven-minute reiteration of A sharp and D minor to XMas Steps, the geometric intent seems undeniable to me. Nothing slips away, nothing lingers, it’s all "precise." Even the feedback is controlled. Godspeed? Maybe they’re not post, it’s just that no one knows where to place them (a bit like Sigur Ros). P.S.: when are we getting one of your damn reviews, Mr. Precise?

Congratulations on the debut and the rescue. One note, I find that post-rock associated with Bark and Talk Talk is quite limiting for me. In my humble opinion, post-rock has a "geometric" component (math is nothing more than a perversion), which is the furthest thing from Bark and Talk Talk, who overflow, elude, and liquefy.

P.s. Erasered, who the hell are you to come and explain what this site is to people who have been here for years and have contributed to making it work? If you haven't understood, just like the reviewer hasn't understood, duplicates generally aren't made, especially not of masterpieces. What would you be writing about then? This isn't a blog; opinions are allowed for everyone, and in addition to the ability to post, there's also the ability to judge. So maybe it’s you who hasn’t understood how it works.

Lux, before you manage to stick it to me, the Champions League final will be Lecce-Chievo. Also because you give me the impression of someone who needs a ten-thousand-watt spotlight to find it in their underwear. Learn some Italian (it takes you three posts to manage to reply to me with any insults) and listen to some records. Then connect your brain and tone down the condescension a bit. Because I’m filled with private users coming to tell me that you’re an asshole. Finally, I apologize for the advice; maybe you’re the one who loves masoKo and enjoys being insulted.

A bit distracted, because the only possible debate hasn’t opened up, namely whether the demo or the official version is better? After nauseating listens, I ultimately decided that "Canzoni da spiaggia..." is the better choice. Who cares, someone might say. But the page has some posts so idiotic that they make you want to throw your hands up in despair. Congratulations for having the courage to review it.
