It seems to me that there is a challenge, within the interiors, regarding the ability to say the essential in a few lines. A challenge that so far seems to be mastered by all the reviewers. To this, I prefer Durrenmatt's La Promessa and a few stories. Could one also use the term "post-modern ante litteram?" I was observing, precisely in the ophthalmological review of "La Promessa," how, as you also note, the thriller in the Swiss writer is, detection... but the discussion would take us too far.
