Mmmh... the syllogism is not Aristotelian. That one gives 1 to a disk, another gives 5, that's the spice of DeB. It has nothing to do with what I would call "affectionate courtesies for the guests." That's all. Without dragging in "conformism" or, parbleu, "nullifying one's own ideas, one's own personality." There are, thank God, to bring Sfascia into the discussion, much more important things. But being a game, as you would agree, I just wanted to highlight that even games have rules. And, ça va sans dire, I don’t decide them. At least, that's how I see it, reaffirming that my opinion is worth as much as the two of cups when the trump is denari. We are too old, Super and I, not to know with whom we want to go to dinner, just to quote ourselves.

Since you don’t want to enter into a debate with Contemplazione, I’ll step in, especially since you’re new around here, while Contemplazione has roughly the same level of experience as I do. A) I thought I understood that you had left us because you were being called out for being unpleasant when talking about your own business (in the literal sense); why are you still here? B) I believe there’s a sign of respect, not towards the reviewer, but towards the other DeBaserists: when there’s a series of five or none, you either don’t vote or you give a five. That’s not a sign of Bulgaria, but a sign of respect for others' opinions. Otherwise, it seems like you want to show that you’re smarter. It’s unfortunate you haven’t understood this yet, and I fear you never will, given the extent of your arrogance. It’s a pity, because your reviews and your knowledge were truly a pleasure.

Beautiful page Valé, as usual. The Pink Floyd don’t blow me away either, but come on, the Creedence can’t even lace their shoes when Syd was in the lineup. The Piper is, and immensely illuminates everything that will follow (not just the Floyd, but rock in general, I don’t believe there’s an alternative rocker in the world who hasn’t been influenced by that record, iconic as the banana).

@Cap, with those legs you can say anything :-). One of the recent images of Iggy that drove me crazy was one I saw three years ago in Rolling Stone. At the tender age of 59, he was portrayed hugging his new 24-year-old girlfriend, a black woman with a bra size around a D-cup, whose first impression upon seeing her was "who's this cow with Iggy?". This is to say that yes, we can forgive Iggy anything (as long as we don't forgive the bullshit like Jacko, or I personally can't forgive Rollins, without rehashing finished controversies).

As for ruining averages, I think we've found the worthy heir of who we know. He should think about his own records, it might be better (he has 5 in HP and they don't seem to be that successful). You know how I feel, the point is that those who do this seem smarter than others, which I don't like at all... @Gira: I've never tried the combination, but today at my place I'm spinning Curtis Mayfield, Black Mountain, and Who.
