It's well known that I also have an aversion to prog indeed :-). Have Trail of Dead become math? I have an album from a few years ago, I believe the third to last, that I listened to quite a bit back then, but if I recall correctly, it wasn't math.

For me, math is generally not enjoyable (one of the few genres that bore me). I tried listening to Battles because everyone speaks highly of them, and I found confirmation of my aversion. Slint, on the other hand, are immeasurable, of course.

Oh yeah, I follow you, I follow you. Definitely proto-punk for the Ramones. Unfortunately, John Paul Jones could play, so we're still hanging around the blues, in a way. But since we're among the Iguanas, maybe "I wanna be your dog" is more proto-punk than anything. Damn, anyway. In the end, you could throw a lot of stuff in the trash and live off Zep and Stooges. Rock'n'roll!

Well, excuse the idyl, but with "You really got me" we're still in garage territory, sure there's the riff, but... And what about "Action Woman" by The Litter? And Blue Cheer? Anyway, I always think of that feedback and the guitar smashed against the amp in "Blow Up". It seems to all start there. I have a collection of the Gallinacci that ends with "Stroll On", and it feels like a whole new world.

Sorry Black... but did you read one of my posts? I don't remember where I put it, maybe in a "White Album" review... I was stating that hard rock was born with "Stroll on" (September 1966). At this point, let's go after women together :-)

Doctor, give me back my euphoria! If I'm swimming in the mud, it's only my fault...

Which version of Open Up And Bleed are you talking about? It’s not on mine. It’s not on Metallic KO either. As far as I know, it was released in France as the B-side of "Johanna". After that, I’m not sure if it’s on any other bootleg. In the ones I have, it's not there.

Fortunately, you intervened, Vortex. I was already looking for the number for the green cross...

I have no words... this time I'm not even going to Wittgenstein... Well, here you can say whatever the hell you want... but, damn it, there’s a limit to everything!
