Just him, just him :-). I must disagree with your analysis of the song "Wrong side...". I've always found it to be one of the most beautiful love declarations ever written in the realm of music. What you refer to as non-sense are actually lyrical images. He tells her: screw Christmas (strangula etc), screw your parents, do a whole series of things that are really impossible, and run away with me, there’s nothing stronger than our passion. All of this is conveyed through a series of fantastic images like "Burn all the honeymoons and put them in the lining of a pillow" or "Poison all the water from the wishing well".

@Mukkio: I'm happy for you, I think I listened to it for the first time at that age too. Waits's "classic" is considered a masterpiece. It ranks among the top ten albums of the '70s according to the editorial team of Velvet, a magazine created by former writers from Mucchio about twenty years ago; in the 500 essentials in a book curated by Cilia and Guglielmi; 5 stars in the 24000 albums curated by Bertncelli. In short, it has always been rightly considered a great album.

I have to agree with happy (who will still find a way to disagree with me): peacefully, vinyl has more dynamics than CD. The issue, poorly explained by the review, is precisely the lack of complete sound range reading by digital formats. Basically, sound is in waves, while digital reads straight (I explained it poorly too, huh! Maybe an engineer is needed). Perhaps the reviewer is young, but this album has always been, rightly, beloved by critics. Without arguing, Ghemison, you say something that doesn’t make any sense: is "Somewhere" really a 5? "Blue Valentines" is one of the most heartbreaking ballads in history, "Wrong Side of The Road" a masterpiece, both musically and lyrically "Tell your mama and your papa they can kiss your ass!"
