I love this movie, so I might be exaggerating. Awesome: always great comebacks!

@Alessio, I know that I'm in your debt, but since we are relaxed, there’s no rush. This weekend I promise to satisfy your curiosity and also to write to a friend of mine from Liguria, urging her to drop some reviews! Believe me, I’m always behind with work (nice excuse).

Not just a beautiful review, but also nice posts. Oh my, every now and then one is happy to be part of this community. Paloz sorry, but is it a bootleg or has it been officially released by Kranky?

Thank you dear @Vitalogy. Hi, I agree with everything in your post. I'm not crazy about Ronin either. A little curiosity: last year one of the most important Italian music magazines declared the Ronin's album as the disc of the month. This year, they didn't even review the Bachi's album (?!!). Maybe I exaggerated a bit, but I truly think it's the best Italian album of the year. Both because it’s musically not trivial and in tune with the times, and for the lyrics that fascinate me a lot. I think it's right to praise a great and little-known band, let the word spread, rather than talk about the Marlene, who, as I said, are at the end of their rope. @Capitano, I won’t be conniving with you:-). Anyway, you’re right about the rhetoric of "will you allow me." Very similar to the Berlusconian "may I:-)." @Alessio I know very well which one is your favorite and you know I don’t agree... but that’s fine. @Iside: I never include samples, especially with the Bachi who often tell stories in their lyrics. Listening to just 30 seconds is a crime. You can easily listen to their full tracks on their website and elsewhere online. They kindly asked not to download the entire album, and I can only agree with them: if you spend 15 euros, it’s better to give it to them, as they don’t sell thousands of copies, and to Wallace, which is a worthy label (even if they haven’t signed my band, rightly so:-)). @Bjorkyna: I can't wait for you to tear me apart. @Lewis: enjoy listening, you’ll like it as much as "Tornare nella terra." Some tracks like "Casa di legno" and "Ofelia" are truly among the best Italian pieces in recent years.

I think (and that’s already something, someone would say) that as usual we get lost in drifts that have nothing to do with the musical side, which should really be the main focus. Now in the "White Album" there are some compositions by Macca that are nothing short of horrible. I mean: nobody disputes that he wrote "Yesterday," and that might earn him a spot in heaven, just like "Helter Skelter," but damn, there are pieces like "Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da" and "Rocky Raccoon" that are liquid crap. I mean, if any other crappy band had made those, you’d be here insulting them for hours...

I meant to say: the rest of McCartney's songs, otherwise the controversy begins...

Very interesting. When I'm asked who I prefer between Lennon and Macca, I also respond Harrison. In reality, it's almost a joke, but the half dozen songs written by Harrison are also my favorites by the Beatles. As for McCartney, I only like "Helter Skelter"; the rest I find pretty disgusting.

Great review. I don’t agree with the rating; I think a four is enough, and about the compositional qualities, they’re inferior, even if Coldplay have become a bit too polished compared to Chris Martin's. They’re somewhat underrated, as they’re caught between Radiohead and Coldplay, but they still deserve sweet and subdued nighttime listening. If you get the chance, there’s a beautiful acoustic cover of "One Thing" on Radio One, where they disprove their reputation for being a bit too serious.

So, I liked the review too because it’s fragmented, made up of impressions and memories, while it’s difficult to talk about something that has been written about in rivers of ink. So Isi, don’t give me a hard time if I give it a 5; I already get a hard time when I give it a 1! :-) @Alessio, you’re such an extremist! I used to go to clubs too, and yet I’m fascinating! :-) And, as Isi says, Ferretti also went to the dance halls. @Bjorkina dear, I can picture you crying at eight and a half... you were already too advanced! I, on the other hand, went despite the prohibition, and they let me in.
