Bob Dylan Higway 61 Revisited

SPIGOLATURE - QUEEN JANE!!!
According to the most accredited exegetes of Dylan's texts (or dylaniacs?), the song QUEEN JANE APPROXIMATELY refers, with sarcasm and venom, to Joan Baez.

Alright, I’ll keep praising the album by reminding everyone of its release date (1965!) and the influence it has had on ALL subsequent pop-rock music.
ANGLES
In Italy, the album sold poorly. Only the reissue with the famous phrase by J. Lennon ("Dylan shows the way") helped spread the songs from this unmissable album.

A didactic review for a STRATOSPHERIC record that completely redefines rock and youth culture. I believe that no artist, to date, has been able to match what Dylan achieved in the years 65-66: "SUBTERRANEAN HOMESICK BLUES," "HIGHWAY 61 REVISITED," and "BLONDE ON BLONDE."

But why do you fish liberally from the (best) DYLAN lyrics to review the old DUCA!?! The album (and the author) are generally recommended to anyone who believes that before BOP jazz isn't "adventurous"...

Small/large masterpiece. This is where you must start to discover this filmmaker. And then immediately move on to HAPPYTOGETHER and INTHEMOODFORLOVE.

Certainly, HOUSE OF THE HOLY is a heterogeneous album compared to the first four chapters of the LED ZEPPELIN saga, but it is the first that shows a certain desire to experiment and go beyond the known, mixing genres, techniques, and previously unseen formulas for the quartet... not coincidentally, John Paul Jones played a decisive role in the recording, being always more "eclectic" compared to the hard-rock orthodoxy of PAGE/PLANT. That said, the first four albums are indeed essential, as they define, tout court, a genre, a sound that will become iconic and a "school" for the thousands of epigones who will refer, with quite modest results, to the music of the AIRSHIP. THE HOUSE OF HOLINESS will be the first (and last?) reluctant sign from LED ZEPPELIN of not being confined within the mythology of vols. I, II, III, IV.

I join AlessioIRIDE, extending the judgment of absolute ROCK DEITIES that is rightly attributed to the LED ZEPPELIN up to the album HOUSE OF THE HOLY (which has some brilliant insights...NO QUATER above all).

Splendid album, beautifully described in this excellent review.
Nirvana Nevermind

I would like to draw the attention of the gray eminences of the forum to the production of this album, which has made "radio-friendly" and "TV-friendly" (see MTV) a genre that just a few years prior was "unlistenable" for the masses. I mean, the credit for the success of this album must also be given to the "sound planer" who turned the amorphous material of GRUNGE into something very POP, distributing it to the masses and making this album an indispensable TOPOI in the small history of rock.
The production of IN UTERO follows an opposite process compared to that of NEVERMIND: it attempts to regain an ounce of "sonic" and "noisy" credibility, trying (the impossible?) to engage in a purifying bath in the INDIE sound. But it’s already too late. Swallowed up by the MAINSTREAM thanks to MTV (de)GENERATION, the NIRVANA will not survive – as is well-known – the success and overexposure.
Personally, I prefer the UNPLUGGED, a worthy swan song, where the band's "underground" credentials are reaffirmed by certain (apt) covers and the entrance of the MEAT PUPPETS, as well as by "clean" arrangements.

one of the most beautiful films ever by ALLEN, excellently told in this review. WELL DONE.
P.S.
Legendary the scene in the bookstore!
