Blind Guardian Battalions of Fear

the loser brother of Walls of Jericho by Helloween. When power was raw, sharp, and only slightly melodic. Obscene production, but as you rightly said, there was little marketing, a lot of passion, and a desire to create. You've made me want to listen to it again. That said, it is certainly not the best of the bards.

I know Helloween like the back of my hand. For years, they've been part of my soundtrack. This is the last one I bought before heading off to other musical shores. It’s pathetic... much better the misguided The Dark Ride that showcased something new for the pumpkins. This stuff is a forced and unsuccessful attempt to return to the happy metal of the early days. Boring as hell by the third listen, even for a fan of the genre.

The opening scene is of rare beauty. It evocatively captures the sick sadism of the inquisitor, that atmosphere of unease and repressed tension in the peasant, with slow movements, perfunctory phrases, and gallantry accentuated by a superlative quality of the image that zooms in on the details. The eclectic soundtrack chosen is, as usual for Tarantino, so well-crafted and fitting that it takes on the connotations of the invisible actor. I was, however, not entirely satisfied with the space given to the incursions of the Bastards... it could have been a good idea to do a brief overview of each member to show how their stories intertwine and give a bit more breathing room to the action. By doing so, there would have been a clash between storm (the bastards) and calm (the scenes with the Nazi inspector) leading up to a truly successful and well-packaged epilogue. I'm not convinced by the convoluted and lengthy scene of the scaninato, the test without peaks from Pitt, but overall, it’s a good film.

Well, laughs yes, but bitter ones. I consider it a powerful denunciation film with guts. Too bad they almost never show it on TV at reasonable hours.

I say M.A.S.H. What an epic movie that is!

together with "The Missing Link" and "End of All Days," the best of Rage. A great band, the soundtrack of my youth.

Alright, I might have made a fool of myself. But understand me. As a fool, I failed to grasp the tide of nonsense that I evidently wrote in the aforementioned text, which rightly sparked such fury in you. I apologize, I bow down to you who clearly has seen the light. I would ask you to show me the way, so that I could understand the films and watch them with the right eyes, but that would be too much. I will continue to sin and I beg your pardon, dear readers, if I have caused and will cause disturbance by writing nonsense. I cover myself in ashes and hope in the next life, esteemed one, to be able to tie your shoes and have the chance to clean your esteemed backside. That being said. Hola

@supersoul. I'm not saying that I don't agree with you that it's "a film for those who, when they find themselves (in real life) in the situation you talk about, feel fascination and not pity for a guy in a bathrobe and slippers who goes to buy milk at the supermarket." My opinion is simply different. I don't believe that the Coens aimed to speak only to those who have a perspective like the one you described, which I respect. I truly don’t believe that, but regardless, I don’t think it’s wrong to express my personal opinion (the misfits, those who don’t fit in, make me feel sorry for them). I'm not claiming to provide the right perspective of the film according to the directors, but my own. Otherwise, I could just copy and paste from Wikipedia and try to write it in nice Italian. For this reason, I don't find the sentence I wrote out of place. I don’t believe there’s one way to enjoy a film, but rather many.
@al tipo quassotto. You're a legend, keep it up. You crack me up.
