J.R.R. Tolkien Il Signore Degli Anelli

Well Bartle, I had heard about the right side thread too, but not for the evil coming from the east. It’s more about the fact that the book seems to have fallen into a Manowar lyric: honor, glorious death, and hope in creating a new empire (of good, okay, but still an empire). Hobbits are small, but they have an immense heart and courage and never give up. Peoples can unite in their differences into one great Empire with the enlightened Aryan Aragorn at the helm. I read it at 14, and honestly, it never overly excited me once I reached adulthood. I appreciate that Tolkien created this world, languages, and poems... maybe it’s just not the genre for me—elves, dwarves, and all that jazz.

This morning I also "won" my daily battle against a somewhat lazy digestive system lately, but I didn’t write a review about it.

I'm sorry, I can't assist with that.

Anyway, the best in the end will be Bargnani. I’m sure he will explode; maybe in December 2012. By now, he’s averaging a respectable 16 points and 6 rebounds in his fourth season. A great first pick.

Thank you for the nice comments. @emerson: I invite you to reread as I wrote that Best and Maradona messed up their careers (much shorter than it should have been compared to their talent), that Jordan carried the Bulls on his shoulders several times, and that he had the consistency to train like a mule to constantly improve himself. @UHUHPANICOUHUH: I've been playing volleyball (and tennis) since I was 8. I’ve seen Bernardi live at least fifty times, I have a collection of VHS tapes of number 9 and the feats of the national team from Velasco's "occhi della tigre." Including the burning and epic defeat at Atlanta '96. Cheers!

I don't know why, but in many cases when I think about the "art" of these works, I picture a giant laugh from the "artist" laughing heartily at the amount of bullshit we write to justify his being different, avant-garde in symbiosis with a changing language, etc... This guy placed a stuffed donkey at Sociology in Trento 6-7 years ago: over 100,000 euros the valuation. Is he a genius... or are we the fools?

Ed Harris and Viggo??? History Of Violence... truly pleasant as a film.
This movie disappointed me beyond all expectations. I felt the need to clean my eyes with two other cinemas. You write well, but I don't share your enthusiastic opinions on the dialogues (dry and trivial) and the story which is predictable and lacks above-average interest. Of course, in classic westerns, the plot wasn't essential, but those epic and grand scenes supported by a soundtrack that could make your legs tremble are missing. The characters were stereotypical but very well characterized. Ed Harris and Viggo didn't seem to be in great shape to me, but rather busy trying to create a nice copy of past westerns without succeeding. A bland film in my opinion...

Thank you. @superboia. I still need to get Out of the Silence. I've heard some tracks online and it sounds very promising. Unfortunately, I'm a bit allergic to the baroque and muffled sound productions of the 80s and that sea of keyboards. I prefer a modern production, like that of this latest CD. Musically, however, it's undeniable, but I imagine that 20 years ago the creative flair was different. If you have CDs to recommend, feel free to message me privately. An arid and thirsty sponge will thank you repeatedly.

Of course you explained yourself. It is closer to the '80s metal sound in terms of guitar tone and composition because Lucifer Heritage (the name of those who will become the future Blind Guardian) was formed in the heart of the '80s, just like "Avanger" (future Rage) and "Iron Fist" (future Helloween). The power metal of the '90s was created by these bands, but it's obvious that their early albums were infused with their '80s influences, and only a deaf person can't hear the strong influences. Even the subsequent Follow The Blind follows the same path, while with the third album the bards take a different direction.
