Osho Il piccolo libro della Vita Reale

The book in question is neither at the top nor in the middle of my interests. In the review, the use of short impactful sentences can indeed succeed in capturing attention. That said, they struck me as rather over-sentimental, rhetorical, and clichéd, but to give a rating I would need to read the book.

Congratulations, it's hard to trash something so well. 5 sparkling and heartfelt stars. A despicable film that I wanted to watch a few days ago on TV to see if there was a limit to decency. Horrendous acting, a story mutilated by important events, and terrible direction.

Everest 1996 is by Bukreev? Good, good, I've already seen it in the bookstore. There should be a third one released by one of the sherpas... I thought Everest 1996 was the title of that one.

I’ve heard about Bukreev’s books and I plan to read them, along with the aforementioned "Everest 1996," but the point of what I’ve written is something else. As you may have noticed, I’ve said almost nothing about the tragedy, intentionally. Regarding the roles of Bukreev, Ang Dorje, etc... it’s not that it isn’t important to investigate what really happened up there, but the point to emphasize is different. Enough with this profusion of expeditions, overcrowding, and the use of oxygen tanks to bring mediocre climbers to the top of Everest. I recommend Aria Sottile for the wise criticism it offers, not for its 100% reliability regarding the events that took place.

Thank you very much to everyone. Now I'm curious to read "Everest 1996," which gives a different perspective on the events. I reiterate the recommendation to make it your own: unlike many mountain books that, in my opinion, merely broach engaging themes, it's written in a more than excellent manner and flows wonderfully.

I can't understand the problem regarding a nice pair of aces. If a reviewer thinks it's the result of prejudice/not listening and therefore a free pass for criticism, this symmetrical evaluation shouldn't even touch them if they have any sense. Personally, I haven't listened to the album in question, but the songs by Sum 41 that I heard years ago on MTV all left me completely indifferent and shocked by their banality. The usual riffs, catchy choruses, and four chords. Horrendous vocals, and instrumentally pointless; their hits are so predictable that you can tell where they're headed after half a minute. Ctrl C and Ctrl V. The review is objectively crap, so for me, it's a double one. I don’t see the problem. Rolling Stones can say what they want, but I think with my own head and ears, not with those of the so-called experts. For instance, "Natale a Beverly Hills" was considered an art film.

born in 1999, fallen ill in 2003, and died in 2007. I don’t believe in resurrections.

I didn't expect such comments. Man, it's so cold that ice needles are falling... tomorrow to go to work I'll have to wake up at 6 AM!!! Browsing through the lovely and witty comments, I wanted to emphasize a couple of things. I don't consider Loach's film a nice little movie at all: "paraculo" is an adjective I often use to describe a pleasant work, but with light and silly content. This is a really good film, and I thought that would be clear from my words. I was more satisfied with it than with the latest good, but not exceptional, effort by the Coen brothers, for which I had perhaps too many expectations. The fact that this film has a happy ending is by no means a point against it: a good film doesn't have to be dramatic by necessity. If that were the case, Coldplay would be God and Elio e le Storie Tese would be shit. Being able to provoke thought and laughter at the same time is really badass, and this film also tackles important family and social themes. I used the word "buonista" purposely. My friend Eric also uses sandpaper; there are scenes that are far from cheerful. For long stretches, it's bittersweet, like cheese with pears, very well packaged. It's only the ending, typically exaggerated in English style, that gives a twist that objectively clashes a bit with the rest and made me label the final part as "buonista" and a bit Christmas spirit in the excessively positive sense. That's all. It doesn't undermine the quality of a great product. Someone wrote Pieraccioni... But why, since the times of the nice and fresh "Laureati" (I don't know how many pimples ago), does this guy still make works that can be defined as films and not cinematic prostitution like Boldi/DeSica, etc...? P.S. It's always a pleasure to read civil and critical comments from the usual suspects who follow me; even if I don't always thank you, I always appreciate it.

my favorite is The Boy, which you gave the worst rating. 9 minutes is by no means a monstrous length. It's a nice little album that I haven't listened to in years. I don't like the track by track but welcome.

Damn, starblazer, it’s clear you’re just a city dweller: I can picture your little hands without calluses. It’s neither a sickle nor a pickaxe, but a completely ordinary "pic," aka pick. Cute little disc with awful vocal parts leaning towards the grotesque. The instrumental parts are much better... it will fade into obscurity in a flash.
