Beware Judge Woodcock, my reviews have contrary and sudden effects!! When you think your balls won't drop anymore, that's exactly when they will detach!!

Well, my father quite likes general metal and Maiden, thanks to me introducing him to it with the first Iron Maiden album I bought, which was "Killers." Well, my dad definitely doesn't listen to death, grind, or brutal, but he enjoys prog metal and classic metal through me. Jehovah's Witness, since you suggested I listen to little songs on Saturdays, I'm telling you to check out Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, and Black Sabbath, just to get started. When you said that metal is music that drives people crazy, you reminded me of my uncles when they saw me listening to "Communication Breakdown" by Led Zeppelin in my room!! Aahhahh, old memories!

I've been listening to fusion for a while now... all the Weather Report and Jaco Pastorius. What do you recommend from Frank Gambale??

Yes, you're right paloz.. however, for me the weaker songs on "Dance Of Death" are "Gates Of Tomorrow", which I liked when I first bought the CD as a kid, and maybe "Journeyman". "Montsegur" is a nice track, I particularly love the devastating opening riff. "A Matter Of Life And Death" is perhaps superior to "Dance Of Death", even though it has songs like "These Colours Don't Run" and "The Longest Day" that recall the style of "No More Lies" and "Rainmaker". Two great albums worth revisiting in a better way, because after all they're quite interesting CDs. Jehovah's Witness, in his comment, I don't know if he wanted to make us laugh or piss us off! :)

Yes, I completely agree with what Jawbreaker said in the conclusion. In fact, as Vincent Valentine wrote, there shouldn’t be a need to say all of this, but there are always people who don’t understand and don’t know the meaning of black, which is often categorized as satanic music and nothing more!!

If I'm not mistaken, we have 101 reviews of Maiden... anyway, it's better that there are 101 reviews about them than about Pausini or whatever!

Well.. I like "Dance Of Death," mainly because they are still the Maiden after all, and also because I have some fondness for it since it was the third CD I bought from Iron. It's definitely not a masterpiece, but it's an album played at a high level. Besides great tracks like "Paschendale," "Rainmaker," "No More Lies," and "Wildest Dreams," there are some excellent songs like "Face In The Sand," "New Frontier," "Montsegur," and the title track. For me, "Dance Of Death" is a work that hasn't been fully appreciated by Maiden fans, and even the Iron themselves should play one or two songs from this album instead of "Brave New World," as they did in the nice DVD of "Rock In Rio." Anyway, tastes are tastes; I even like the latest "A Matter Of Life And Death" from the Maiden.. the worst albums are the ones with Bailey.

I haven't heard the album but I know the band pretty well.. for me their best songs are "She Sells Sanctuary," "Rain," "Fire Woman," and a couple of others that I can't remember right now.

Yes, it's true...it's a disturbing and eerie cover, but very true! I don't know the band, but since I've been feeling this genre for a while, it piqued my interest, and maybe tomorrow I'll listen to it somewhere. The review is very nice and completely engages the reader...well done Jawbreaker!

Aahhahhaa...well, come on, Marilyn Manson doesn't really do metal! First of all, his genre is a bit personal; I think he’s unique in his music...if we want to categorize him in a precise style, I would say dark with some influences of alternative rock and a bit of electronics. Then it’s undeniable that Marilyn has somewhat copied some metal and hard rock bands, like Alice Cooper and even Death SS!!
