I heard it, on the first listen I agree with the reviewer on all fronts.

But then you only read what you want from the comments... I've already responded to the issue of the criteria used to judge it. "Alternative cinema to Hollywood" wasn't on Wikipedia (I was mistaken) but on one of the reviews I read online that praised this film as socially engaged. As for Troma, you just need to check the official website or take a look on eBay to see how much nonsense Troma has churned out to fully exploit its products, including the second and third chapters of this saga. In short, independent yes, but in its own way; in reality, it has become another little Hollywood that makes its films with its actors and tries to squeeze as much money as possible out of people.

Ah, this was the comment I expected the most from all. It was practically a certainty that someone would say it to me... alternative cinema to Hollywood (Wikipedia), independent (I've already talked about the speculations of Troma), provocative and anti-American (I agree on this, but I mentioned in the review that someone would accuse me of not including this). I watched it in English the first time and in Italian the second (to better understand certain things I missed, even though the Italian dubbing really sucks). As for the sentence you accuse me of, you have to understand that there are people on this site who would get really angry if I said this is a great film, telling me it doesn't deserve to be called a film and things like that. I had to choose between one of the two (film or not film) and I opted for the latter. I repeat that in the end I clearly stated how much of a great film it is for those who appreciate the genre.

Another thing... I find Johansson to be one of the most overrated actresses of the last 10 years at least.
