Haha, thanks to everyone! Be brilliant Giovanninatoli who triggered the discussion about Poletti in the post-life... Thanks to Psychopompe for the interesting clarifications! Carlito made me laugh out loud, and Poletti with his one rating for the film without even having seen it made me laugh even more... for the series, the seriousness of a man! Anyway, regarding Poletti, the problem is that if he had been born 50 years from now, he would surely give much higher ratings to films of today, because in the future, certain movies will be classics just like some wonders from the first half of the 1900s are today. So the issue isn’t whether the films on his list are fantastic or not (for the most part... I’d say 90%... they are) but the fact that Poletti, aside from very rare exceptions, cannot accept today’s films.

Well, thanks to everyone for the votes. Doctor J, I have nothing to say about the fact that you liked it a lot. I gave a 5 to "S.O.S. Fantasmi" out of affection... just to mention one. (Poletti might not agree on that!). As for Matt Damon, I'm not sure. In my opinion, in "The Departed," Scorsese was clever to choose him. He has such a good guy face that playing such a loathsome character made everyone think he was great. I think he was good (you can't deny that) but not extraordinary. In short, he put his nice guy face on a super obnoxious character, which created the inevitable surprise effect in the audience.
