Very good review, but I don't quite agree with the judgment on the album, it's too heavy: for me, it’s AT LEAST a 3.5.

The first 3 albums by Deep Purple the worst??? I hope you’re joking: they’re not on the level of the records from '70 to '74 (more or less), which represent the stylistic turning point for DP (inspired by Led, did you know?), but the first 3 are at least a 4! "Who do you think we are" is a little tired, indeed, but we’re still around a 4. The albums post-Perfect Strangers, in the end, nearly none are on par with the first 3 albums by DP; however, the worst ("Perpendicular"?"Abandon"?), are nonetheless works rated 3, 3+, even 3.5: even if Blackmore isn’t there anymore (and Gillan doesn’t sing like he used to), they are still DP...

There are small mistakes, ("Moby Dick" is not acoustic, it's instrumental), and a blunder, ("The song remains the same" not certainly excellent? It may not be at this level, but it remains a great live!). But overall, good reception. On the band, however, nothing more can be said: the fact is that words wouldn't be enough...
