"King Crimson have been mentioned "randomly" and not for comparison, I could have also said Soft Machine or Frank Zappa. It was just to say that you can't give 5 stars to Meshuggah and give the same rating to Grand Wazoo or Third." Ah, now it's all clearer to me.

The Pantera were simply 5 levels above the Meshuggah. And Dimebag Darrell the greatest Metal guitarist to ever exist. These guys may have had their undeniable merits, but let’s not stretch it with improbable comparisons... To even bring King Crimson into this, where do you hear the Crimson in these guys?.. For the rest, I agree with Lux.

Aleister Crowley was an obsolete figure. To think that there are people who still follow him, (including some of the major artists of Hard Rock and Metal!).

@Boyintheocean: the fact is that the human mind, when it imagines the future and how it will be, always tends toward grandeur and spectacle. It's obvious that to envision the future we all have to use our imagination, but this often leans towards hyperbole and infinite spectacle. To put it simply, imagining a future full of flying cars is much more fascinating, spectacular, beautiful, and captures the collective imagination way more than the fact that the smartphone will be (is) used for browsing the internet or shooting videos. In fact, I believe that the human mind can arrive at the latter idea, but it can do so using a more "realistic" imagination, that is: looking at modern technology and how it is developing, I can envision what the most immediate future inventions will realistically be. For example, the smartphone, which started as a portable phone for calling and messaging, has "absorbed" and "replaced" the watch, the alarm clock, the timer, the voice recorder, the camera, the camcorder, the TV, iPod, and now even the satellite navigator and the internet (including chat, porn sites, and everything). From this, I gather that the smartphones of the near future are "absorbing" and will replace the computer, so not just the internet: it is conceivable, realistically possible, that in a few years you will be able to use Word, Excel, and other programs that you can currently use only on a PC on your smartphone (by the way, I don’t want to say silly things, but it seems to me that with the most modern smartphones you can download music and they also have antivirus... did I say something silly?). Of course, using more unrestrained fantasy, I can also imagine that in the near future we will travel through time, discover realities and parallel worlds, and invent the cream of eternal youth... In this regard, you must remember that "Back to the Future" is a SCIENCE FICTION film, and that says it all!..
