Aerosmith Aerosmith
Voto:
Great album, and tracks like the aforementioned "Mama Kin" and "Dream On" are still among their best today... of the '70s, though, in my opinion, the best is "Toys in the Attic," then "Rocks" and this one; from the '80s, "Permanent Vacation" and "Pump" are good, even if they are totally different (but you know, that was the trend in rock at the time, and that's what Aerosmith started doing as well, and they did it very well...); in the '90s, they could have released a best-of from "Get a Grip" and "Nine Lives," and it would have made a great album; the years from 2000, brr... I shudder.

Everything is truly excellent (both the review and the album). They seem like the perfect mix between the riffing of Iron Maiden and the catchy chorus of Def Leppard :-)

I have my doubts about whether Axl can still sing and whether he still has a voice, even after seeing certain live performances on YouTube... but you never know, right? As for the rest, he has great musicians with him, but he will always be a huge jerk... a great character back in the day, but now he seems a bit pathetic...

Indeed, I hadn't noticed a certain resemblance between the person on the cover and Eddie... :D
Anyway, yes, Nes, it's really them... but they've improved now: Ingrandisci questa immagine xD

But then, who sells them as filthy garbage, some as the Avril Lavigne of metal, some as the saviors of the homeland, some as the worthy heirs of Iron Maiden, Metallica, and various sacred monsters... can we make up our minds?!?! :D I’ll have to listen to them, even if M. Shadows' voice (heard on the track he sings on Slash's album) makes me a bit sad...

"...with an unexpected growl...": never listened to another album by Amorphis before, huh? ;) Now, I don't remember this particular record well because I haven't picked it up (or "listened to it") since its release, but that must mean something, considering I still listen to "Eclipse" very frequently...

Already said everything, written everything in the review for this little forgotten masterpiece. RIP Midnight

Nooo, Giuseppe Binetti has landed on DeB too! :D
Anyway, great review, the album is great (even though I also like the 2 following ones, ā€œputtanoniā€ style from MTV)

Uhm... I know these thanks to the Metallica (no insults :D) who covered "The Wait" (of which I know the original version, but I've never listened to anything else of theirs)... however, that nu-metal label doesn't inspire me... mmh

@Reverse: like "The Final Frontier" 7 (now)?!? Like SEVEN? Aren't there six? Let's not start rigging the results, okay?? :D
