It’s true that there are quite a few prejudices about the emo genre. Back then (I mean, about fifteen years ago) it wasn’t that popular, in fact... “emo was a genre that was born honest and sincere, only to become, in the early 2000s, overrun by hordes of fringe groups with a pound of black makeup under their eyes, ruining the genre with their sugary guitars and tear-jerking little voices, interspersed with a scream here and there.” I totally agree; even though I really don’t like emo, I trust the good saying De-Gustibus... This CD isn’t for me, but I see the review is well-written and passionate. Well done.
