The review is really too sparse, and anyway I don't quite agree with either the description or the overall judgment; in my opinion, even though it's not an exceptional work, it's still a good album that is enjoyable to listen to like few others. We’re not at the level of its predecessors, but damn, McKennitt knows how to be appreciated even in her simpler and more immediate works. And then (always IMHO) there’s no comparison between Loreena and Enya... Also because they adopt too different sounds. @Lovelorn: I see you've already anticipated everything! XD I sent the review yesterday at 2, they’ll publish it soon :)

Impeccable memento as usual; but this record is (in my opinion) sometimes a bit quirky and eccentric! That doesn't take away from the fact that it's stunning :p

I’m listening to it now through my headphones... Truly remarkable, just like your review. Xasthur needs to be understood, no doubt about it, but I only started to grasp it now after months of pointless attempts... My taste for black metal is wearing thin quickly.

I’m terribly indecisive about whether to choose the sugary flamboyance of the Dari or the no less worrisome seriousness of this monstrosity – of course, this is just my opinion! The review isn’t bad, but there’s the usual infamous track-by-track with some passages that are hard to understand ("The fourth track throws us even deeper into our 'viaggio infernale' launched by the traccie"? By the way, it’s written 'tracce' without the I) and a few repetitions here and there.
