For once, I allow myself to raise the rating of the album. Pardon.

Listen to yourself half a time and then toss it away immediately. At least they have a decent nickname.

And instead... BAM!

That this album (and the band) might not be to everyone's taste is obvious; far from it. Those like 47 or Lux who didn’t appreciate it have every right to come and give the album and the review their 2 or 1, if they please. However, I don’t believe I mentioned Keith Richards in what I wrote, nor do I feel the urgent need to make comparisons with other artists, whether they be Tokio Hotel or Led Zeppelin. ""teomondo"" (why not log in with your real nick instead?) obviously doesn’t miss the chance to act like a scornful judge and throw shade at me, but he still hasn't realized that I wipe my ass with his comments, and apparently, I’m not the only one. It’s comedic to charge in all guns blazing, bringing up 50 years of music history just because I like Anathema, rather than focusing on the fact of writing a twenty-line review based on personal taste. I hold tight to what I enjoy and make it my own, regardless of how (in)fluential it was in the music world and especially how much it may appeal to others. Period. End of story. I won't say more because, in any case, no one would change their mind, so it’s just a waste of time. This is the review, this is the album. And let everyone keep their blessed musical culture while leaving others' alone. Thanks to everyone else.

Oh no, I'm giving this 5 stars.

A stratospheric collage of ultra-melodic riffs and melodies that border on cheesy. At first, they weren't that bad, but with "The Crusade" and especially this album, they’ve made me lose interest.

I know little about folk metal, and nothing exceptional (Korpiklaani, Eluveitie, etc.). I tried looking for this band on M.Archives and the reviews I found are quite favorable... Now I’ll see about listening to something.
