Arctic Monkeys Who The Fuck Are The Arctic Monkeys

@Julian: I’m sorry, but Joy Division are unfortunately vastly underrated. Sure, on this site they have a fair number of supporters (but then not so many), but there are many more (outside of here) who tend to deny their historical importance. Also, saying that "Closer" is bland seems to me at least superficial, especially when you compare it to the Arctic Monkeys. Bye!

You're right Axl, perfect reception, album that I like overall even though they've done better.

@Editors: the style of this newcomer Frankie, in particular, reminds me of a certain Duane, take note of it.. Hi!

It's always the same story: schools end and the forums fill up with smart-aleck kids (and their 15,000 fake accounts) who have nothing better to do than annoy those looking for a peaceful discussion. Of course, my solidarity goes to the good Hetfieldgod.

Ah, I mean as the main cause, then of course also from a social point of view, Welles didn't hold back...

Welles was ostracized by the system not for his ideas but for his bad temper and arrogance (the only flaws in an otherwise brilliant personality, but unfortunately serious ones), so much so that in his time of need he was left alone because he had burned all bridges around him, not for artistic reasons (the genius of his work was already recognized in his lifetime) but for strictly personal and intimate ones. Bye!

Curtis wasn't a deviant; he was just an extremely introverted, introspective, and melancholic person, not really suited for real life, in short, and his loss has been immeasurable. All his works with Joy are like a deserted island. And now I go back to crying...

Damn, Poletti... Milanese and Romanista? Fate has been cruel to you ;-)

After the 70s, prog took a historical course that led it to hybridize (in a positive sense) with other genres; this is how the DTs, Porcupine, Tool, etc., were born... Whether you like them or not is a different story. Nothing is created, nothing is destroyed... and sorry for the cliché ;-)
P.S.: Alessio, don’t worry, I have no intentions of that kind ;-)

Anyway, I don't believe that prog has been swept away by this or that other genre, because then what do we say about punk being swept away by the Hair Metal of the '80s? I really don't think so; just like everything, it has had an underground evolution that led it to be reborn into what it is now, and this has happened in all genres. Those who say, for example, that punk is dead are making an incorrect statement because if we think like that, we would have to say that punk never even existed. Do you really believe that?
