Ah, Rihanna is a hundred times cooler and "Umbrella" is at least vaguely original compared to the plasticky guitar riffs of Lavigne.

The problem is not Avril's target audience. The sister of a dear friend of mine, at 14, I would hear her blasting "Walk Idiot Walk" by the Hives in her room, but she was and is a girl perfectly identical to most of her peers; that is, undressed, foul-mouthed, convinced she’s ten years older than she actually is. So I second CoolOras, especially since sometimes it’s the "artists" (tsk!) like dear Avril who change according to the tastes and trends of kids; just look at the transformations of Avril herself and Furtado over the last four years, and of Spears even further back (from nun-boobs to semi-postitutes). P.S. of course, no offense intended to fourteen-year-olds, far from it, I don’t want to paint everyone with the same brush, but still, just take a look around...

I find the perfect review. And I think that Consoli is a great artist, among the few exportable Italians (the other one that comes to mind is Donà). But this album is not a masterpiece, and certainly not a great record. I agree with those who prefer the great Mario Venuti to the "Cantantessa." It’s true, the latest "Magneti" is a fantastic album; and hey, have you heard "E' Stato Un Attimo"? Damn, it sounds like a track from the Style Council!!! :DDD
