Well, not the whole album seems influenced by QOTSA to me: let's say that some tracks (Semi-Mental, Who's Got A Match, maybe even 9/15ths) do, but certainly not all of them.

I find Duran among the most systematically underrated groups of the last twenty years. They’ve even been slapped with the label of boyband, putting them on the same level as Take That, Backstreet Boys, and similar acts. Can you imagine Take That writing a piece like The Chauffeur? In my opinion, Duran should be reassessed, even in their more "shadowy" phase (Pop Trash, Big Thing, Medazzaland). It’s clear that when compared to heavyweights, they don’t measure up, but within the pop realm, they've managed to be anything but predictable. If pop is simply not your cup of tea, then that’s a whole different story...

The Reflex is the only good track on this album. For me, their masterpiece is the Wedding Album, and Ordinary World is one of the most beautiful pop songs of the last twenty years.
