@Anticomunista: this needs to be debunked absolutely. I personally met Liam Gallagher at a venue in Florence, the Bebop, the night before the concert at the Mandela in 2006. He is an incredibly friendly and accommodating person; he stayed for an hour despite the massive crowd (those who know that place understand it’s quite small) and watched the cover band of Oasis that was performing that evening, bouncing around like a madman. I don’t know how many other artists would behave like that. In all the live shows I’ve seen (four so far), they were engaging and respectful, offering setlists well-balanced between classics and more unusual tracks to please everyone. The abandonment of the Heineken was, in my view, out of respect for the fans, considering that even though he was hardly able to sing, he still tried to push through ten songs. I won’t deny that sometimes they have their moments of madness. But fundamentally, they wouldn’t be them. As Noel said: "If you want a band that talks to the audience for twenty minutes after every song, go see the f***ing Travis." :)

@ nooneknows: did it really seem monotonous to you? To me, it seems quite varied instead... the beauty of differing opinions! :)

Perhaps your best review. We agree on Barlow: he's a genius, but I'm certainly not the one to discover that.

Well, Glastonbury '04 was an almost complete disaster for various reasons: Liam Gallagher's poor vocal condition, which has been lasting for too many years now, a setlist that wasn't entirely convincing, a lack of determination in the two new songs presented (A Bell Will Ring will turn out to be practically a different song in the studio), and little chemistry after a couple of years without concerts. The débacle the following year at Heineken was truly dramatic: Liam tried to sing despite being practically voiceless and abandoned the stage during Champagne Supernova. On the other hand, I've seen snippets of new songs from the recording studio on YouTube, and he seems to have recovered. Well, let's hope for the best, especially since the album is completed.

For me, comparing Muse to Radiohead makes no sense at all. They have always seemed to me like Suede suddenly infatuated with hard rock, with a slight touch of prog.

Perhaps the worst live performance in their history (and I'm speaking as someone who isn’t particularly fond of the "legendary" Knebworth 1996, so I have high standards when it comes to live shows). I believe your setlist is missing two songs that were played live for the first time, A Bell Will Ring and The Meaning Of Soul, which would later appear on the next year's album Don't Believe The Truth. By the way, the latter is played in a hilarious Motorhead-style version.

I am ultra-curious (and ultra-confident), but I will wait for the release.

@ bella_Bartok: Gazosa was an Italian pop group formed in Rome in 1998 from the meeting of its four very young members, who were teenagers at the time, and later brought to light and produced by Caterina Caselli until 2003, the year of their dissolution. In 2003, by mutual agreement, the Gazosa split up, and the singer Jessica Morlacchi decided to pursue a solo career.
