Elbow The Seldom Seen Kid

@ templare: nice nickname, yours! Look, this is how I see it: Coldplay and Elbow, although often compared by certain "specialized" press (bah...), are on two different planets, in every sense. Coldplay has taken the path of stadium rock à la U2, which I personally don't find as reprehensible as many claim ("The Hardest Part," "Square One," and "Twisted Logic" from X & Y are great tracks for me), while Elbow are more introspective and accustomed to electronic hints and intimate atmospheres. All that's left is to wait for the new Coldplay album ("Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends," the title is definitely awful) to see what will come out of it.

The Blink back in the day released just one album that was barely sufficient, but compared to the crap that's around now (no need to name names), it's like comparing the Beatles to Westlife. As for the duo Angels And Airwaves/+44, I've only heard a few singles, but they seem like mere divertissements and not much more. I don't know, if I have time, I'll give them a listen.

I am viscerally in love with everything this band does, and I’m waiting to find the time to savor this eagerly anticipated new album in all its tranquility. And I also love the Dandy, who will release their new "Earth To The Dandy Warhols" on May 5th. @ Azzo: if you want, go check out a new track by the Warhols presented live on YouTube, A Wasp In A Lotus. Fantastic! Oh, I’m working on a new review about them. Stop by if they publish it.

Federica Moro (Carate Brianza, February 20, 1965) is an Italian actress and model, Miss Italia 1982.
She begins her career in 1982 when, at 17, she wins the title of Miss Italia; she will subsequently participate in films that turn out to be box office hits. Already in 1983, she stars alongside Adriano Celentano in Segni particolari: bellissimo, where she plays the role of a girl who steals the heart of the most unrepentant bachelor known, even going so far as to marry him. The following year, she is Arianna in College, a film from which a highly-rated television spin-off of the same title is produced in 1989, in which she is the main star. After another film alongside Celentano (Joan Lui), which turns out to be a partial flop, in 1986, she participates in the two episodes of Yuppies (Yuppies, the successful youth and Yuppies 2). Two years later, she stars in her first real international film, La partita, directed by Carlo Vanzina. Unfortunately, the film turns out to be quite modest and diminishes the actress's cinematic ambitions. The aforementioned TV series College gives her a final surge of notoriety, and indeed, the productions that follow, Ultimo respiro and Tre addii, mark her last appearances on the big screen. Subsequently, she participates in numerous television shows and becomes the testimonial for an important cosmetics company. She is also the godmother of the Giostra della Quintana, a historic chivalric event held in Foligno every year in June and September.

@ Satarblazer: from the second album try Empire, Stuntman, and Seek And Destroy (pretty much a plagiarism of Muse, so you’ll like it) :)

Question for the fans: but they don't play It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) live anymore?

Great album, but unlike Alessio, I also really appreciate the subsequent production.

@ blackdog: comparing individual tracks from the two albums and doing the math, for me many tracks from Accelerate are superior to those from the monster. Then, how can you say that Star 69 (!) is better than Horse To Water? Well, tastes... :)
