Oasis Heathen Chemistry
Voto:
The worst album by the bros, due to its excessive inconsistency. Absolute gems (Hindu Times, Little By Little, SCYHO, Born On A Different Cloud) are interspersed with questionable tracks (Songbird) and half-baked nonsense (All In The Mind, Hung In A Bad Place).

The U2 have always "shied away" in front of Oasis; I’ve never understood why, frankly, but I don’t think that’s the reason for the album’s postponement. Those who say there hasn’t been a renewal of sound are, in my opinion, mistaken. And about this kraut thing, come on guys, I said IT SOUNDS LIKE A KRAUT PIECE REDONE BY COLDPLAY, not OASIS DO KRAUT. Come on, less hysteria please. :D

Their best album after the first two, just a notch above DBTT. I don’t agree with the reviewer on almost anything, even though the review is okay.

And then, I didn’t give them one star, but three, so more than enough. What I wanted to say is that in this album I find less grit and incisiveness compared to the previous ones, and I’m not the only one. I adore the KOL, go read my review of Because Of The Times, I liked that album like crazy.

@ the judge: have you heard Closer from this album? If you’ve heard it, you know the day has come... :)

I will also talk about this album, but for now I've only heard Something Anything, which, rather than being indebted to Radiohead's The Bends, is more so to Muse's Time Is Running Out. Long review but extremely detailed.

Buried and underrated in a disgraceful way, while bands that wouldn’t be able to produce an album like this even if they sold their souls to the devil are exalted. Final Straw is practically perfect, Leaving New York is a ballsy single, Electron Blue has a tremendous melody, The Ascent Of Man is touching. Clearly, it’s not a masterpiece as the good Starblazer claims (to each their own), but treating it like Mmmbop by Hanson is a bit excessive. Four stars, a review I don’t fully agree with but well written.
