Paul Verhoeven Robocop
Voto:
Well, I have Robocop vs. Terminator for the Mega Drive... and of course the shooter for the Play 2!

Some curiosities since you appreciate it like I do; the first actor contacted to play Robocop was Rutger Hauer (!), Verhoeven's favorite actor. In the first version of the costume, a micro air conditioner was installed because the temperature inside the exoskeleton was too high. The secretary harassed by Boddicker before his visit to Dick Jones is the actor's real wife. Peter Weller permanently lives, if I'm not mistaken, in Positano and got married there; guess what they call him when they greet him... Finally, there was a near miss of yet another pathetic sequel and even a redux a couple of years ago (with part of the original cast, not sure how since they’re all in their 60s now); this possibility was also dismissed by the fact that Verhoeven immediately distanced himself from it.

Here’s Poletti! So, let’s get started: 1-I’ll give you 100 euros if you tell me where I wrote that I gave it a 5 because it reminds me of my adolescence, considering that I was born in 1984 and this film came out when I was ONLY 3 years old... 2-Terminator??? It’s a great movie, but it tackles completely different themes; Robocop is not exactly a robot, it’s a human being who rises again, which allows the director to address topics that the plot of Terminator didn’t permit (it was focused on themes like the end of the world, the domination of machines over humans, etc... so totally different themes, even though they are within the same genre, hence not comparable) 3-I’m not provoking anything or anyone, I gave it a 5 because I consider this film a great classic. What’s the point, it’s not perfect, it’s full of inaccuracies; but I think it’s a better film than certain American sci-fi flops from now and also from back then. So, for me, it’s a classic within its genre; and within its genre, it deserves a solid 5.

I can't tell you if your review or mine is better, but I really like yours and I totally agree with you. Just one thing: I read this comparison with Oasis in an old review about the Chiefs too. Am I the one who's gone crazy because I don't hear it (except for I Can Do It Without You)? Because I hear everything except the Gallagher brothers in the Chiefs' albums. Hi and congratulations.

Sedative is great, the rest is more than good. I liked it, maybe the sound is a bit too clean compared to the debut. Bye.

No one really does pop like this anymore (almost) anymore, including him...
Quentin Tarantino Pulp Fiction

The masterpiece of masterpieces by Tarantino. P.S. Has anyone of you noticed, like I did, that the cop who sodomizes Marcellus is the villain from The Mask? Interesting...

The 5 by Nino Manfredi. A legend. The film is a photocopy of many films released in Italy in the 80s, so neither bad nor a masterpiece; simply unnecessary.

The review is perfect, maybe just a bit too much from a fan’s perspective. Of the band in question, I’ve only heard the excellent debut, while from the new one I’ve only noticed that it has strangely (I say strangely not because of the quality of the music, since I haven't heard it yet) entered high in more than one sales chart (except in Italy, strange huh?... Bleh!). This fact alone had made me wary of a (even partial) shift towards a more pop-rock oriented sound. And for me, that’s certainly not a sin; on the contrary, it could be beneficial, if anything. Cheers.
Korn Mtv Unplugged

I saw him on TV the other night, and I expected a lot of criticism. In fact, I'm not a huge fan of nu-metal (or whatever it is...), but I have to say that I've always enjoyed listening to Korn (I don't know why). I completely agree that Davies delivered a great rendition of "Creep," I didn't see that coming. On the other hand, "Freak On A Leash" and "Twizted Transistor" were definitely skippable.
