So why did they play "Harrowdown Hill" by Thom Yorke? Does that mean he has converted to MTV? It was even exclusive the first week! That's why I tell you that labeling is almost always wrong!

The fact is that Britpop is not a genre; it's a movement. How the hell can you compare, for example, Oasis and Supergrass or Pulp? Bah... For me, Oasis buried British pop with "Be Here Now." Curse me if you want, but from "Standing" onwards, Oasis is doing stadium rock (big anthems to wave lighters to, just listen to songs like "Go Let It Out," "Little By Little," "Stop Crying" or "Lyla" and compare them with "Up In The Sky" or "Bring It On Down," there's a huge gap).

Then guys, we're back to the usual discussion about Metallica (see the latest review of St. Anger, I can't remember who wrote it). Okay, this is an MTV initiative, but before this blessed Unplugged, tell me how many times in your life have you seen a Korn music video between 8 PM and midnight? Maybe during the segments dedicated to rock-metal or on brand:new programs, but certainly not in the regular afternoon rotation. I repeat: Linkin' Park, Nickelback, Hoobastank, these are MTV bands. I don't feel comfortable labeling Korn like that. Whether the albums are good or not is another story, but purely MTV music is something else entirely.

The review is fair. Let me tell you what I disagree with: 1-Be Here Now was a failure purely in terms of critical reception. To this day, it is the most beloved album by many Oasis fans. There were also some disagreements within the band regarding this: Bell and Liam Gallagher would like to play songs from Be Here Now live, while Noel Gallagher is opposed (although he has somewhat relented by including Don't Go Away in his recent solo concerts). As of now, BHN has sold 10,000,000 copies, so it’s certainly not a public failure. 2-"I Am The Walrus" is a fake live recording; the audience you hear in that version was taken from a bootleg (if I remember correctly) of the Stone Roses. Of course, I didn’t mean to correct you, these are just bits of information that might interest you. Bye.
