The Dandy Warhols ...Come Down

I don't agree with pretty much anything, but technically the review is okay. So: 1 - They've never been devoid of ideas, and anyway the only uninspired album is "Welcome To The Monkey House," a failed attempt at commercialization that I disagreed with when it came out. 2 - The latest one is a great record, full of well-processed influences and truly excellent tracks ("Everyone Is Totally Insane," "Love Is The New Feel Awful," and especially "Down Like Disco"). 3 - Enough with this thing that they want to copy the Grateful Dead; you're not the first to say it. Just because they overwork themselves before writing an album, does that mean they want to copy them for sure? 4 - You showed appreciation for the only truly embarrassing track, namely "Last Junkie on Earth"; that’s the one that’s really uninspired, a pop number wholesale that doesn’t represent them at all (just as the overinflated "Bohemian Like You" won’t). 5 - If Capitol dropped them, it would only be good for them. They’re certainly not a band for millions of copies, and they would only benefit in terms of artistic autonomy. Bye.

Hi Pi.Per. Today is the second antithetical review I’m reading (is that how you say it? Who knows…) and the one published today on the Red Hot is the opposite of mine. That’s the beauty of Debaser.

In Italy, there is worse. But also better. "Asile's World" remains its peak.

It's the flip side of my review, and it's written really well, so I like you and I'll give you a nice five. However, I don't agree with one line of what you wrote. Hehe... Anyway, what I think of this album I've already written in my review. Bye bye.

It's true. And I still keep buying the original albums of the bands you mentioned, despite the trends. Take that!!!

I know they opened for your (and my) beloved REM, but I don't remember if at Neapolis...

I've heard it all, and judging by appearances, I think a St. Anger 2 is on the horizon, complete with solos and cleaned up from Rubin's production (he's the new producer, right? Please correct me if I'm wrong...). I'm quoting here.

I recommend then, Alessio (if you have the time and inclination), the first Feeder production (the first three albums), as they are more USA-oriented. The only English band comparable to Feeder might be the early Stereophonics, but not by much...
