I agree with others, I really love the second album by Cousteau, "Sirena," much more confident than the first one, "Cousteau," but just as beautiful. This one, however, without Davey's harmony doesn't attract me; I think the ship has sunk!

Upon rereading the review and your comments today, I listened to this great masterpiece again. I fell in love with his voice and his persona back in "Quite Life" Japan - way back in 1979, an artist who gently stood apart, a lover of the refinement of another "great," Bryan Ferry. The future brought precious bounties to Sylvian. In this album, aside from the music, one thing that struck me so much was the central photography on the cover, in black and white, veiled, deliberately undefined, lying down, static, in a position of "eternal rest," completely dressed but barefoot. It impressed me then and still does for the peace it conveys, that absent gaze or one immersed in meditation accompanied by the listening of "Nostalgia" or "The ink in the well," where he speaks of Picasso and painting, or perhaps the track "Brilliant Trees," where the intensity of poetry approaches the limits of mysticism. Other words? Excellent.

You’re right, not all musical tastes, and others, are the same, fortunately... I would add, in the spirit of "what is beautiful is not necessarily beautiful, but what is pleasing is beautiful" (in the eyes but especially in the heart).

It's true that tastes are subjective, but I mean, are we really the only two who think that "Urban Hymns" is a masterpiece? I can't believe it.
