let's not start transcending. pop doesn’t really mean a damn thing... in music, pop is the desire to be heard by everyone, which is good because we’ve had enough of tortoises and other crap. saying that these derive from the Sex Pistols is like saying that man descends from monkeys. blink, green day, and various little church groups all stem from one huge name: DESCENDENTS... the only thing they have in common with the Sex Pistols is their inner emptiness and the fact that they are puppets in the hands of the industry. punk rock is something else entirely. it's a serious matter, so let's keep it for serious things.
