Jawbox For Your Own Special Sweetheart

easy, I don't agree. I mean, I agree when you say that Jawbox were a good band (one of my favorites from that time) while Fugazi were an excellent band (one of my all-time favorites), but I don’t agree about the '90s. The '90s were terrible years. For a band like Jawbox, for an album like this (a significant commercial flop), there were dozens and dozens of crap bands like Smashing Pumpkins and Stone Temple Pilots. For a band like Nirvana, you had to endure Bush and Pearl Jam, for Tad it was Silverchair... that's just how I am, I prefer the worst of the worst over mediocrity. Better Tokio Hotel than the Pumpkins... assuming there are many differences :)

1) Uh, a listener aurally shattered like her should prefer this, but it’s not exactly algebra :) 2) "Guaranteed lemony" is one of the phrases I've heard the most. As far as I know, it's borrowed from an old ad for a dish detergent that had the slogan "sparkling clean, guaranteed lemon." Lemon-scented greetings to everyone.

The only thing that can grasp Battiato, since there is nothing to grasp, is a heart attack. I appreciate those who are not pedantic, those who say everything and well with little. The sane Ferretti, Capovilla, the first Daniele, some things by De Gregori. However, if I want to read a beautiful text, I take The Flowers of Evil or Working Stiff from the library, certainly not an album.

The Bluvertigo? Mogol/Battisti? Battiato? Battiato has the unique merit of having managed to be, from a purely lyrical standpoint, the worst of the worst, freeing himself from mediocrity to become as terrible as possible. My god, tell me about your dealer? I imagine there’s a line outside his front door.

oh, damn... I don't find them conceptual. Shellac are conceptual, these are just haphazard. Basically it's always the same song which in the end is a long immense crescendo. No offense, if people like them, they like them, but I find them boring... oh old man, the review of "Mariposa" is ready, it just waits for you.

I'm sorry, I must have overestimated you. Not only did I take you for beings capable of questioning yourselves, but even more seriously, I didn't realize you were stuck in the Sex Pistols era. Come on, it's time for a carousel and then bed.

a record given to me by my girlfriend when I was still playing the part of the romantic. seen live in Rome too... after the concert, I tripped over my balls that incredibly resembled Dumbo's ears. anyway, it's incredible how there are no more records below 4... it almost seems like a plague.
