Great pretazzo!!! I fully share your analysis, and that's exactly why I prefer Scratch Acid. They are more forceful, more vulgar... in short, more immediate.
Anyway, if I mentioned hardcore, it was a normal thing!!! For me, punk and hardcore are synonyms... honestly, I don't really understand the categorization. For example, to me, Black Flag are as much hardcore as they are punk, and also indie!!!
I don’t know how to explain myself: to me, Nirvana makes punk, not grunge (which really doesn't exist).
I would like to know, maybe to fill my ignorance, what you categorize as hardcore and what you categorize as punk, and based on what!

Honestly, maybe someone will beat me up for this, but I prefer Scratch Acid to Jesus Lizard. Anyway, Teatro degli Orrori lists Carmelo Bene among its influences, and I think you can really feel it. I honestly find them quite independent from their musical models (Jesus Lizard, Scratch Acid, Melvins).

Anyway, I think Ian's perspective is more than valid even if I don't share it and absolutely do not put it into practice. The discussion with him was more general and not specifically in this area. I simply believe that if one understands that there are musically speaking valid things that really have a reason to capture their attention, how can a person after having their own encounter go back to nonsense? I mean, it’s not like when I’m sad I read Pavese and when I’m happy I switch to Mickey Mouse!!! That's all.

sorry: www.myspace.com/ilteatrodegliorrori
anyway, if you search for them on Google, their website www.ilteatrodegliorrori.com comes up, which takes you to the MySpace page where you can listen to the entire album.
I hope you like them.

for pretazzo: il teatro degli orrori: www.myspace.com/ilteatrodegliorrori
they've put the whole album and I think it's really nice nice. scratch acid and jesus lizard all the way!!! let me know what you think.
anyway, I think it's possible that one, in moments of laziness, listens to bands, I don't know how to say, I hold back..."MODESTI e SEMPLICIONI".
but you won't believe me...I can be happy or depressed I always listen to the same things without letting myself go to total barbarism. that's how it works for me and, I may not be tolerated, but I can't stand the opposite.

In my opinion, it's too much earwax that distorts sounds and makes you think Guns N' Roses are hardcore. Anyway, sorry, I won't come to kill you. Honestly, listen to whoever the hell you want. What do I care? Not all doughnuts come out with a hole... Anyway, as I suggested earlier, I propose you to become part of the Refoundation and then vote for the Cavaliere Nero... it's the same thing, or marry and let your wife sodomize you since you like reconciling the irreconcilable.

And damn, I meant the emotional impact!!! Anyway, have you ever heard of the Teatro degli Orrori? Look it up.

In my opinion, this is a complete and utter nonsense. I don't believe that rock, punk, or whatever other genre sounds better in English. To me, this is a fairy tale like Santa Claus!!! Take "L'orrendo" by Eat ro: post-hardcore at its best, sung monstrously by Mr. Pierpaolo Capovilla in Italian.
I repeat, imagine "Io sto bene" or "Alice" by De Gregori... would they have the same emotional effect on you if sung in English? I really don't think so. My aversion to English comes precisely from this common mentality that we Italians can't do anything at the level of rock music. Sure, if you think of Verdena, it’s true, but think of CCCP!!! Same goes for Pearl Jam or some other useless band… GOOD. No matter what language they sing in, it’s still drivel.
In response to Peppiopunx: it's not that you made a mistake because you approached a giant. For me, you made a mistake because you have to consider that suppose a person who knows nothing about Minor and their philosophy comes across your review... that person should understand everything just through your review.
Anyway, I admit I was wrong to give you a one… at least a bit more, considering that someone goes to a review that gives five to a Guns N' Roses album.

It makes me laugh, and knowing the minutemen very well, it’s the best possible review of their album!!!
