Anyway, Festwca, I wanted to ask you, did you buy "We Jam Econo" in an Italian store or online? And are there Italian subtitles? Anyway, to show how immense the punk hardcore ocean is for me, I’ll use this example: for me, bands like Einstürzende Neubauten are punk (don’t hit me) just like Nirvana and Dinosaur Jr (up to "Bug"), and even The Flaming Lips (up to "Transmissions"). I'm convinced that it’s more about attitude!

I would say that the Minutemen have made two and a half albums of three-minute songs (there's even Buzz!!!). Anyway, in my opinion, punk hardcore is a bit like Romanticism in literature. That is, the boundaries are uncertain and very fluid. As for Italy, I like Raw Power, I'm not too fond of Negazione, and Indigesti, from what I've listened to (so far I've only managed to listen to Mass-Media and Mai, and both are beautiful), I like, and if I found more from them, which are the premises, I could like them even more than Raw Power.
Anyway, the Minutemen also dressed like normal people (also Black Flag, Minor Threat, and Husker Du). I think it's better that way!!! I don't appreciate mohawks very much because I believe that it's not the clothes that make the monk, nor the other way around.

wow peggiopunk!!! I read your review on the indigesti and it's really interesting. I mean, I knew the legendary Maniglia through a book and I didn't know he played music!!! Anyway, I recommend "costretti a sanguinare" (it's a book by Philopat) which tells about those years and the bands that revolved around the virus! Seriously amazing. This book made me understand more than tons of mandatory education!

it's not that I don't know the difference...it's that for me it remains a colossal lie, just a little game, and anyway I don't think I know everything about hardcore or punk. I don't cling to this or that genre. I know everything about the bands I like. in my opinion, it's a truly bullshit distinction.
my question is: if minutemen made three-minute songs, what genre would they be?

Thank you so much... but don't you find these geographical distinctions a bit sneaky? I certainly do and I just can't stand them. The one that irritates me the most, though, is grunge. What the hell do Pearl Jam have to do with Nirvana and Mudhoney, and how do all these relate to the Melvins?
