I think the headphone issue follows that sleeping position. I sleep on my side, so I end up breaking the headphones in two; the earbuds, on the other hand, last a couple of months, until I tear them off in my sleep. Still, I'm pleased with myself. I've learned to turn off the iPod while sleeping... and the nice thing is that I turn it off at the end of the album I intended to listen to.
