The fortune of all these groups is that they were born in English (United Kingdom and all!).

Poletti, when you make these clarifications, you remind me of Furio (the character from Verdone)! :)

Of all the so-called "grunge," the bands I love are the aforementioned: Nirvana, Melvins, and that's it.
I definitely prefer what came before: Wipers, Dinosaur Jr, Black Flag, Sonic Youth, Husker Du, Minor Threat, etc... In any case, the beauty or the ugliness of Nirvana is that, for better or for worse, they were the pinnacle... the point of no return.

Thank you, Mary... I'm really glad you like it... however, I don't believe this grunge actually exists. In fact, my favorite band is Nirvana, but if you ask me what genre they play... well, I’d tell you punk-rock. I don't see and can't understand what connects the bands labeled as grunge. I mean, what's in common between Nirvana and Pearl Jam? Mudhoney and Soundgarden? Tad and Stone Temple Pilots (oh, I hate Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilots)? Honestly, I think nothing.

I don't agree... I mean, where you been is nice and still decent, which can't be said for without a sound or hand it over, but beyond is fantastic (at least in my opinion)!
