exactly nick... medieval mentality and that’s the problem. a symptom of this problem is the inability to even discuss it, because you might be labeled a fag, or to joke about it because you’re homophobic. gay people, fat people, and all your other categories are categorized precisely because there’s someone who is afraid of being part of a deplorable category... go take a walk in Soho or visit some non-bigoted parts of Europe and you will see that gay people are ridiculed just like anyone else. in Italy, you can’t because morally, as the assholes we are, it is considered a disease.
