mmm... I'm with you. For example, I find his novels quite disgusting, but I don't agree with the notion that there are disciples today. If only there were... just look at the editorials of la repubblica or corriere della sera to see a bunch of people in pretty bad shape.

If it had been released by an indie (which in Italy are mafias at least as much as the majors... I'm speaking from personal experience), I would have said: "oh damn, they must have lost their minds." Instead, it was released by a major, and I think they clearly calculated everything too well. I don’t understand: Debaser gives us the chance to talk about anything, and we end up discussing products (because that’s what they are) that come out of the Italian rock subculture (so much so that nobody cares about them abroad). Recently, new editions of historic albums like Skag Heaven by Squirrel Bait and Vs by Mission of Burma have come out—albums that had been out of print for at least ten years—and you’re talking about these crappy products. Something's not right, and the answer is in the mouth of Orson Welles in the film La Ricotta (by Pasolini). It’s your business. I don’t intend to live a hundred years, so I’m forced to disregard the trash. Tastes are tastes? Tastes are nothing more than the result of education and culture. For me, this album is unlistenable; if your tastes say otherwise... well, take a moment to review the rock of the last fifty years.
