the track is very black, just listen to that part where it says "under my umbrella-ella-ella-ella-eh-eh." very afro and very different from what’s considered black today (black that's too whitewashed). as for jay-z, it's not his fault: it's an entire system that doesn’t allow a song to just be a song, but it has to be introduced, interspersed with hip hop snippets, etc...
