But how amazingly talented you are! I remember so little about these girls that... am I risking to go into overflow? I have so much on my plate that I feel like an arsonist who has set the municipal slaughterhouse on fire!

I'm not even trying: in fact, I'm writing another review of Alan Vega, so I can get back to Bob Mould!

I'll get this one way or another. Always thanks to the "inconciliabile" ghemison.

Anyway, Natale Galletta is not from Naples, but from MESSINA. You got that right: a large part of the neomelodic singers are not Neapolitans, but Sicilians... in Sicily, there is a "parallel market" of neomelodic singers, all islanders, among which only a few manage to "become Neapolitan"... it takes sacrifice, the right contacts (and we know who we’re talking about), and "Neomelodic Talent"... Their records cannot be launched and promoted in Campania like those of Neapolitans, but must "sneak in," making their way slowly (a bit like when an artist comes out with a single or an entire CD, and then you discover that it’s been three or four years in the making, and that the slow word-of-mouth gradually brings them to MTV and to the top of the charts, a bit like what happened with Manu Chao, who is now a mainstream artist in his own way). Natale Galletta has a very long career behind him, but the song I remember most clearly is "Bancomat," a story of a parent grappling with all-Italian economic difficulties and who has a daughter wanting to flaunt with her looks and her daddy's money... the trash of music that recounts the trash aspects of society.

It's not true at all that we have irreconcilable tastes: you wrote about Cure, Bowie, E.N., Generation X, Eurythmics, Baustelle, Faithful, Massive Attack, New Order, Panasonic (I obviously have their record with Alan Vega), Primus, Chatham (can you imagine I’m not interested in 80s minimal?), Tom Yorke, you made me rediscover MC 900... And then you think I don't know and consider Bran Van 3000, the band produced by Ric Ocasek, to be magnificent? I think you’re mistaken, I’d say we’re quite alike :D

narf is a sea creature... a legend, or something that belonged to a religion that no longer exists... to explain it to you in a more fun and thrilling way, just picture the stunning film "Lady in the Water" by director Shyamalan (the one who made The Sixth Sense, Signs, The Village) featuring Ron Howard's daughter (what a woman!)

It's nice to see how many posts for "a new perspective" have been offered regarding an album reviewed once a month. But don't pay attention to it: I'm just jealous, since my review has been viewed just 150 times less than this one...

As far as I'm concerned, I won't take a step back. I find Springsteen's way of putting himself out there proto-fascist, but maybe that's just because it's too much of an American style... the fact remains that he is the boss, he alone can sing about the things that are wrong, only he can save us from AIDS with "Streets of Philadelphia," only he can describe the feelings of us Americans, and only he can help us after September 11th with an album, "The Rising." Only he can tell us that it’s not the time to have fun because we need to read Steinbeck and suffer because there are poor people in America (yes, there are poor people in America), and then we all turn to read the superimpositions at San Remo... everything he does is extremely necessary and absolutely felt by humanity, he is the Ronaldo of music, who if you have him, then you can't lose (it wasn't like that back in the Inter days?), he is the man who can tell us that we need to dance in the dark, then we need to stop, and therefore we need to improve our human touch, that this way and that way... an overly inflated American arrogance! DO YOU WANT A "TRUE AMERICAN HERO"? TAKE ALAN VEGA!

Reaganite republican-fascist: Top Gun, An Officer and a Gentleman, Rambo, Gunny, Rocky (especially 4), "nobody can mess with the USA", vigilantes of the night, lone vigilantes who arrive in a custom truck or pickup to save the county from criminals and corrupt sheriffs, even though it’s they, the heroes, who have been banned from that county... And to think that Bruce up until then was a singer of the common people and of feelings, not of fascist ramblings like "we are America and we have the duty (and the right! sic!!!) to do something," and of artificial mental states but not too much (I am American and therefore better than all of you, what do you want me to do, Americans), which is why this, albeit valid author, never won my ears or my heart.
