The Chemical Brothers We Are The Night
Voto:
they need to step off the dance floor and embrace all music again. or at least turn into pop songwriters. otherwise, they're going nowhere, and there are hundreds of artists making records like that, you know, a little song here, a small collaboration there, a dance track here, an electropop piece there, etc.

I would say that the review is devastating... and the thing that strikes me is the use of a myriad of words: nothing resembles and nothing is similar to the previous reviews. I understand why you are not prolific: if you were more prolific, with the quality standards you have, you wouldn't be human.

I like it, maybe their best: more than anything 'hurry up and wait' (but if another vocalist sang it, it wouldn't be so beautiful) and the final track. However, I agree with you.

I don't know why, but your link never sticks... I kind of liked you a lot (except for the "trippy che troppi"). I remember them when there was that storm of sounds. They were the most commercial thing, the closest to pop, and the most capable of crossing the ocean. But instead, they went for the less talented ones.

Maybe I approached it the wrong way (I was trying to understand drone but instead I found myself in love with the dream pop of "sinking belle"), so I won't judge. I liked you quite a bit, even though I would have liked to know how one finds oneself in deep trouble with drone, what the journey might be that leads you down to drone.

no wave exists as a definition, you would agree with me... if the Suicide had the "blues of New York," this is the "punk of Düsseldorf"... then there was the rock of Detroit, the punk of Minneapolis, the dance of Berlin, the rock of Seattle... they are not bad anyway, even if clarity is important

So, let’s see... Collision Drive is fine, Saturn Strip and I’d say Cubist Blues.
Todd Rundgren Hermit Of Mink Hollow
Voto:
Without a doubt, if you're not strictly interested in rock, that's fine... but even "The Ballad of Todd Rundgren" is okay. If you know the character for his connection to '70s music and have trained ears, then there's no need to hesitate: "Something/Anything?" is the right album. And if you like prog, and that taste is your measure, then the first Utopia album is the most fitting record. I repeat: if a newbie to music in general wanted to listen to Rundgren, this would be an excellent starting album.

sailors didn’t come last... there were no rankings for those who didn’t make it into the top three... basically, everyone else came fourth... try looking for a certain "Biancaneve," reprinted under a different title (and with the absurd cover, which is actually the inlay of Smogmagica, featuring the three with sideburns and beards from 1975). Biancaneve is the reprint from venerdì, made in 1998. identical in every way.
