blackdog, but it's not that you're actually filippo, right?

I believe you have a painting to create, a thrash metal piece... when you finish it, you will finally be free. A bit like me: putting pen to paper on my sonic obsessions and my ideas, always mulled over but never expressed and etched anywhere else but in my head. Resetting the brain to let myself be caught up by fresh, fragrant new obsessions. When you finish the thrash painting, I encourage you to "change genre": not that I find it outdated or perhaps predictable... It's just that I don't find it sufficiently frantic or appealing. Metalheads on Debaser aren't few (and certainly many more than those who listen to '70s music), and there’s hardly anything left in pop rock worth reviewing, but someone like you must inevitably, compulsorily, explore everywhere.

currahee, if you like wilson, what do you think of rundgren's albums? since you seem to be inclined and sensitive to those atmospheres and sounds, perhaps...

Barlow is my favorite. Just like Mould is in Husker Du. Here, we are moving from reviews to literature tout court. Regardless of what is said, spelling has nothing to do with literature. Literature on a review site is a good thing.

it was already there

I got it, ole, I read what you wrote in the previous posts... it must be the last gasps of the epileptic fit you had after listening to those 5 minutes of glam... :) Anyway, the debaserian nation is probably the most elevated and cultured musically that exists, so I'm at serious risk if I propose glam.

I don't think I understood anything of what you wrote, but thank you.
;D

Well, what can I say. Excellent. On the record or not, after all, we were joking about it anyway.

Ah, Grant, I almost forgot about you. Their first album is more standard, apart from the single "It take a..."; it's an old-school glam record with little boogie, very inspired but ultimately less inventive. Good, but more standard: I prefer this one. But why don’t you review it?

Thank you all for your comments and votes. Iride: that was exactly what I intended to do: complimenting while pretending to be irreverent; flood: what you say is absolutely true, that in the presence of people like Bowie and Bolan, nothing can really hold up, especially nothing that is thirty years younger, but the Ark made a really great glam album, there's no denying it. Ole: I also like Tad and their butcher-leader, it’s just that grunge is such a genre close in time, still so present in today’s music, that it had never occurred to me to review bands representing it, even though the Tad had only recently received some reviews (alessioIride first and foremost, if I'm not mistaken). I wanted to review the Hater (does anyone remember them? the band of the singer's brother from Mother Love Bone), but I found better things to do rather than dig another millimeter into the depths of grunge. Howdy: I've always been into glam, and it's perhaps one of the first styles I learned to appreciate (!). Survivors of punk (and respected), glam artists were the first to, using pop and rock instruments, deviate from the hard rock, hard blues, and beat schemes, and glam was the first thing similar, in mentality, to indie. I believe that, like it or not (I would never want to be a glam music star!), it is a carefree and very fun genre, a bit goofy when it's not gay but extremely funny. Lord: it's true, the arrangements are too pompous, but it's the fault, as I wrote, of Ola Salo, and not the production. Mopaga: the Ark has zero connections with Rundgren, like an egg. These days, amongst the reviews on Todd and his Utopia, I tried, to mix it up, to insert other stuff, Alan Vega, an unknown folk singer, Le Orme from the eighties, and now the Ark: maybe someone might think I'm not capable of being versatile...
