Well, I don't understand a damn thing about this stuff... around here, the tacky stuff is triumphing inexorably. And if you throw in a half "alternative" DJ, you'll find yourself surrounded by 15-year-olds with sunglasses in the dark with a shopping cart full of pills, ready to gut each other to defend their girlfriend's property at the first menstrual flow with the Pampers thong :D

But why on earth do you take me seriously? I'm joking too.

As for the discussion of whether it's a narrative or not, I already made a STUNNING YET IGNORED outing (not the outing of Capezzone, eh!) in the review of Todd Rundgren - "The Ever Popular Tortured Artist Effect."

Regarding the more or less fierce criticism, I believe the reviews of Asia have shaken up everything and everyone, especially considering what Mr. Adriano Bernard wrote in his last comment: "And these reviews have forever marked debaser: the Asia are now feared here like the devil fears holy water!:-)" Perhaps Festwca wasn't fierce, "but the times were fierce": and anyway, it's easy to hit someone who exposes themselves, presenting Asia to the highly intellectual DeBaserian crowd for six consecutive times! And I cannot forget this: almost everyone practically turned against me back then.

Regarding the mainstream, I apologize to all the DeBaserian people for not specifying "MTVari artists" instead of "true (MT) artists" like the well-known Hash Jar Tempo (how could I forget them! The next Velvet Underground!!! May I be cursed for eternity! May my soul burn in hell until the end of times! May my ass be squashed by the luciferian hammer!!!!).

Regarding comment 41, I’ve been there, I have an uncle who emigrated from the South, I lived there for about three months, and I have a diary of roughly three hundred pages from my trip... aujour d'hui maybe I should have kept a blog, but I prefer the good old diary. And, I’m sorry, I won’t go back an inch.

Australia (music, society, culture, toponymy, road planning, politics, sports, hot chicks) is to the USA what Mr. Crocodile Dundee is to Rambo.

MAINSTREAM, for heaven's sake! Cave wasn't born for the mainstream. The Beatles were born for the mainstream. The Go-Betweens were never truly born for the mainstream: INXS were born for the mainstream... Here we are talking about Old Man River, one who made an album practically on commission from MTV, that is, an album of MAINSTREAM. Can we please compare him to something equally BORN FOR THE MAINSTREAM, setting aside your wonderful knowledge of seminal bands and artists who've been around for thirty years but were only MAINSTREAM for at most five years (and compromising) like the untouchable Nick Cave? MAINSTREAM, for crying out loud!

The only real one I appreciate from head to toe is Nick Cave, although to truly make himself known he had to duet with Kylie Minogue, bending to the "rule of Australia." And I repeat, in the USA he was sponsored by that simpleton pop singer, my fetish (though his wife is better) Ric Ocasek :-D
