She, in her inner territory, knows how to do it. In fact, to people who listen to the blues, she seems like a true country-pop artist. Great for those who watch MTV and the like, people who, as we know, spend money on trendy music. Much more than on good music. The review is well done, but it doesn't delve into the album. Perhaps it wasn't your intention at all, so I'll refrain from rating it. She annoys me. But is it true that she is the wife of John Lord Alge?

nightwalker, who are you? Hi, I’m mien_mo_man, the one known in DeBaser for having written more than 20 reviews on Todd Rundgren, with and without his Utopia. What I wrote is that some DJs have tried to reconstruct some of his songs. Some succeeded well, while others not so much. PERIOD. Whether Rundgren is a great musician or not is not the topic of this review: where did you sense an intention on my part to question the character? If you give me a 2 because you hate the review for how it’s written, that’s fine, but if you give me a 2 because I said Rundgren is a lousy musician, then you haven’t read the review, or you didn’t understand it, or you’re not capable of understanding it. If you want to know what I think of Todd Rundgren, I repeat, there are more than 20 reviews written by me on him. Enjoy your reading.

throwing muses always considered. it's that the style is similar to that of the early cars and the drummer of the cars, david robinson, was previously with the modern lovers.

this your transfiguration of genres or sound tastes that become individuals in a choral context, each with its peculiarities. It definitely deserves further exploration, and in any case, it's always better than the usual "recipes," the usual "alchemy," the usual "cocktails" of genres that go something like this: make a giant sponge cake of pop rock, take 50 grams of psychedelia, pour a scalding drizzle of caramel indie over it, generously sprinkle some emo-core dust on top, maybe add a sprinkle of old glam that never hurts, and here you have the beautiful and fully prepared music panettone. The same thing is done with magic formulas, with cocktails, etc.

absolutely wrong what was asserted by currahee: benzo24 wrote the reviews of Jonathan Richman "rock & roll with the Modern Lovers" and then of Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers "rockin' and romance." If you like that Boston protopunk-new wave with a feigned silly philosophy that’s instead carefully crafted, with few guitar riffs and seemingly simple yet spot-on minimal verses, then check out the first (and then also the second) Cars. Ric Ocasek may not have Richman's squeaky-quacking voice, but he has another phenomenal, unique one, a sort of Goofy (the Disney character) of poprock.

Ole is not the last: in July, ARENA arrives.

Well... I think about all those legendary reviewers who are no longer active, with or without various goodbyes and farewells: people like Grasshopper and Hal, while Mementomori hasn't been heard from in a while and Tepes says he'll keep it short and will eventually work only upon specific request... these are things that hurt, but DeBaser seems like a sort of life cycle: you reach your eighty, hundred, hundred fifty reviews at most and then you feel like you've given it all... I respect your decision, Vellutogrigio, even though it's always been nice to read a page of yours here and there. But when the "old guard" leaves, when those who made you connect with the site and made you want to give it a try yourself are gone, I can't help but wonder what sense it makes to keep going. When the Editors gave us the power to decide who we love and who we hate, I went through many of those reviews and those words that struck me on this site: a good 80% seems to no longer be around these parts...

black and white, leave my reviews alone: they don’t stem from the album and they aren’t born for the album: they are reflections in a general sense or on something specific. They are pretexts to do other things. Don’t experience them as reviews and don’t think of them as reviews. The album can be seen in many ways; I use it to compare it to achtung baby also because it’s one of the few ischi of "POST CELTIC ROCK" that exist. So the key to understanding that I provide is the exact one.

I liked them when they weren't famous... a bit like Soul Asylum, just to give you an idea (Minneapolis is always in the background: Replacements, Soul Asylum, etc.: could it be the center of the world?)

Then, to know who the vocalist is, just check out my reviews on them: there’s not just this one.
