I remember that a few years ago they had a "Carpenter Evening" on Italia Uno that included: Escape from L.A., The Thing, In the Mouth of Madness, They Live, The Fog.. Good times.. Dark Star was also unmissable..

Each of those you mentioned is a living symbol of cunning and also sycophancy (especially Mr. Zucchero and Mr. Vasco).. The list would be miles long.. Jovanotti is not at all the only cunning one, but he is perhaps one of the most obvious cases of artistic transformism..

In my opinion, none of the films adapted from the pages of HPL has managed to capture the fabulous environmental structure; perhaps the most successful is Re-Animator, but the result remains, in any case, low profile compared to the literary tale of Herbert West from which it is drawn. They are all mediocre productions, B-movies if not Subbuteo, and they focus entirely on the horror, metamorphic, and necrophilic aspects of the stories. Many ignorant people continue to dismiss Lovecraft as a minor author of the black-fantasy-horror subgenre, a "penny dreadful" if you will. In reality, and you surely know this, there is so much, so much more. No one has yet managed to express it in images. The dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.
