Among other things, the cover is ugly.. But do they want to mimic King Crimson's "Red"?? Damn them!

I agree with the Lord's judgment on Duke.. The final duo "Duke's Travels\End" is something unforgettable, and even more impressive when seen live..

What the hell kind of covers are they choosing? Did they pull that photo from rotten?

Let’s raise the average for this album a bit, come on.. It deserves it..

I correct Salmacis regarding the text of Down And Out: it's not a rant by Hackett.. Steve had already left a while ago.. The track talks about showbusiness, and it's a dialogue between a rock star and her record label, with a few jabs here and there..

I cast my vote to elect the Banksian "Burning Rope" as the best track on the album, alongside the striking opener "Down & Out" and "Undertow," which is truly beautiful. I don't mind "Follow You, Follow Me" either, because even though it's light, it carries quite a weight for a pop song (especially when compared to today's crap, it really stands out) along with a very nice final solo. I also mention the unfortunately excluded "The Day The Light Went Out," quick, catchy, and accompanied by good lyrics. From here on, Genesis will make dreadful mistakes in their setlist choices, burying many excellent tracks and a couple of gems in the forgetful desert of B-sides. Still, the album deserves a 3.5, to be completely honest.

You're right.. Everyone is free to express their thoughts and memories.. There are ways and means, though.. A music review, in itself, is not a way, and then a review like this.. We are icy because the review is chilling..

What am I reading... Nothing against friendship and memories, but it could have been a bit more grounded, more concise... It sounds like an epitaph. The album review is done terribly, and I'm telling you this both as a reader and as a lover of Genesis. At least you could have separated the sentimental value (indisputable, absolutely subjective, and sacrosanct) from the artistic one, which certainly isn't a 5, at most a three and a half... Some judgments can even be agreed upon, but they're expressed poorly... I'm sorry, I might be demanding, but I'm convinced that Genesis deserve much more attention...
