Well done.. You've introduced us to a character that can only be described as bleak, very clever and skillful in riding the wave of the "committed" song against the mafia, the political caste, etc.. (but how original..). Nothing more than yet another puppet, by the way not particularly talented, that fills the sad landscape of today's music with dignified mediocrity.. I don't know the album, but my rating goes to that disgrace of "Pensa" and the trite, demagogic content that seeps through the rooftops.. Anyway, you've enlightened me: I didn't know that the voice could be used to accompany the notes. Seriously..

I'm sorry, but I find this album quite mediocre. The bouncy and rough sounds of the Eighties are detrimental for a band like Camel. The sound is very poorly crafted, and the few flashes you (rightly) mention are far from sufficient to save the situation. Every time I happen to accidentally listen to it again, I really feel a pang in my heart imagining Andy all alone struggling through a thousand difficulties. His determination is something commendable; they will do much better almost ten years later, but we agree on that. Good review, even if my tendency towards sentimentality is known to you, doctor.

Excellent review, perhaps a bit too wordy and rhetorical.. I was strongly advised against watching this film, but this very interesting page might make me reconsider. Personally, I appreciate Shyamalan at alternating phases: "The Sixth Sense" is one of the most boring and overrated films I have ever seen, while "Signs" and especially "Unbreakable" come close to perfection..
