Oh, I don't want to be a party pooper, but there are two things that don't add up about this photo, maybe you can clarify. First, the photo is from 1946. Does that mean it was published after the war? Second: the airplanes captured are clearly not Stukas, and they don't even look Soviet either.. O.o

I don't know how to say that "Edge Of Glory" is very beautiful.. But what does it have that the eurodance songs from the mid/late '90s don't? What’s so great about it, the super deep lyrics? The sampled sax inserts (damn, how original..)? Do you like the tunztunzy beat that feels a bit tacky? I'm smelling something unpleasant because it's just a silly little song, and you only like it because it was made by Lady Gaga who "has a great voice".. Well, good for you.. A childish review written with a scrotum..

Well done, Santo! Never listened to this album.. But why does the cover make me fear the worst?

I know, but it doesn't comfort me at all, on the contrary... And it's okay, not everyone is capable of managing stress and success in a non-self-destructive way.

She is beautiful, the voice is good, I won't listen to the album, the single on the radio is annoying, the review is tedious, I didn't get past the first paragraph.. I preferred you before, Darius: questionable taste but a cleaner style.. Are you puffing up like Lady Gaga?

I basically agree with you. I mean, in the pop rock scene, the U2 have done great things, in my opinion; Unforgettable Fire is excellent, then there are a few songs here and there that are really well done. I appreciated their experimental attempts between '93 and '95; they could have easily continued down that path and turned their backs on the cheap charts pop, but success corrupts.. Oh well..

Ok.. I didn't know that.. Well, it's not a nice thing, and in any case the artistic results of the time, that air of "let's see if we can do it" and then that horror of Love Beach definitely have to do with all of this.. What a sadness..

As a final touch, for me "Frankly, My Dear, I Don't Give a Damn" is unmatched.. An excellent film, and to think they wanted to shoot it in color..

Well, I have never seen anything new or scandalous in this documentary. I mean, we are in Italy; politics works the way it does, and television, actually, televisions do too: a decay of the worst kind. The most ridiculous thing, in my opinion, is to claim that a television entrepreneur managed to bend the minds of an entire country with commercial TV. It's an absurd and dull statement for many reasons, but I will mention just two. First, long before the Cav. there was '68, which slapped the apostolic and Pharisaic morality of good Catholic Italy, and the young people of those years had long become mature managers of the Eighties; second, give the people what they want, and they will love you. It's tastes, (non)culture, and boredom that shape television, not the other way around. And anyway, where is the review? Why do you conclude every piece you write with a rhetorical question?
