Sufficient review, maybe a bit sparse... I agree with you on the comparison with Discipline, which I like much less than this and got boring to me right away... A beautiful album, full of varied and somewhat schizophrenic atmospheres: in my opinion, Adrian Belew is an old crazy man...

I confess that aside from "Fanfare", I have never heard this album.. Because I was a bit scared.. I will give it another listen, I promise, also because the review is done very well. A bit heavy, (as I fear the work in question is), but analytical, precise, and written with expertise..

I only read Ultimate Spiderman and I liked it; the artwork is nice too.. Anyway, I agree with you about the preamble; the intense continuity, the piling up of increasingly hypertrophic, absurd situations that feel contrived makes reading a drag; I realized this when I back then bought, out of pure curiosity, the issue with Superman's death, full of references that I obviously didn't understand.. So I'll just leave it alone, you know..

I remember when it aired in Italy, was it on Junior TV or TMC? They haven't rerun it since, I think. The episodes with the giant airplane are etched in my youthful imagination.. Such a great anime.. But sorry, I remember him being stronger than an average man, like he had special powers? Am I wrong?

Well, great review, but five stars seem a bit too much to me.. It's a nice album but nothing more, and indeed some tracks have always left me a bit puzzled, like Stormy Down, Lay Down, and the annoying Part Of The Union.. When Cousins indulges in pop-folk tunes, he can become quite cloying.. I agree, though, with your good assessment of the longer tracks: Down By The Sea is a true gem, with an amazing tempo change.. Anyway, the Strawbs never really grabbed me even when Wakeman was around, although I do remember From The Witchwood fondly..
