Charles Bukowski Pulp

Underground reading (bit-generation) is my absolute favorite; I read this about ten years ago and I don't have clear memories of it. However, I have read everything by Bukowski and I must say that "Pulp" is not the best... it falls far short of what can be "Notes of a Dirty Old Man" or "Music for The Hot Organs."

I quote templar for "The Ideal Crash," perhaps the most important album in the history of the band. I saw them in Treviso two days before; I have to say they were good, yes, but sometimes our Tom Barman came off a bit too much like the Chris Martin (Coldplay) of the situation. As for the rest of the band, there's no doubt, especially Mauro Pawlowski. This guy, besides being very skilled on the guitar (masterful with feedback and filtering sounds), has presence and personality to spare... he could easily stand on a stage next to David Bowie. The insignificant Belgians??... crazy talk.

"And anyway, in my city, there are no record stores: rather, there are kiosks for Neapolitan music. People don’t spend on music, on books, on art, on concerts (which don’t exist): in short, they don’t spend on the wider experience: they spend on cars and on furniture for their homes." ...how I understand you, Mien :-)

what a beautiful page and what a great artist! I have never listened to this, but this review convinces me a lot. I only have "The End of an Ear" and the magnificent "Rock Bottom" by him. well done.
