The slayers are not labeled as racists (nor xenophobes) but as Nazis, which is not even accurate, given that it is others who have accused them of Nazism and they have not responded strongly enough, even if it’s all for image and not out of malice, certainly not racist (if you think about the things Mick mentioned, or Araya's statements, it becomes clear that they too do not want to be misunderstood beyond a certain point). More than anything, it’s about their image as anti-religious figures, which they are heavily criticized for, but that's another story.....

It is very true that in "Christ Illusion" you can find the early Slayer metal (one thing: being repetitive since Reign in Blood seems a bit too much to me, considering that they wrote their best works after that, namely South of Heaven and Season in the Abyss) but I definitely prefer a repetitive inspiration from the old past rather than the nod, as you say, to modern metal, which I believe has brought them down technically as well.... anyway, I don't want to start discussions, I understand your point of view and it is more than respectable, it's just that I found it excessive to compare the repetitiveness of Slayer with the monotony of Manowar (not that I dislike them, actually it's a good album. stay brutal).

Slayer are not repetitive; the fact that they make the same genre after more than twenty years (even if they don't reach the peaks of the past) does not mean they are repetitive at all, but only that they can still create something damn thrash, even with the necessary compromises... Great review anyway, really well written.

if "I Just Wanna Live" is the best song....... well, at least something is saved anyway; the review isn't great (and then self-voting? SELF-VOTING???......bah)

The review is really beautiful, I don't know the album, and I vaguely remember a song by the Scorpions. However, the way you reviewed them piques my curiosity...

Does the last sentence: artists like these deserve to be heard? Or do artists like these merîtano the money that circulates?

The review is well written in part, but half of it is dedicated only to insulting and being transgressive among the transgressors: I also agree that if a group becomes famous, they shouldn’t stop making good music, but it’s also true that many “commercial” groups are ones that “betray” what they’ve done to gain a larger audience that is perpetually dependent on music channels (and how can you not feel antipathy towards a channel that broadcasts the same 20 songs for a week?), therefore believe me, a large part of the anti-commercial criticism is made for serious reasons. And then excuse me: "believe me" profound? Personally, it doesn’t seem so to me... I’m sorry, good review for MSN discussion, not for a serious judgment of an album...
